Paul is a graduate of sculpture and painting from Gray's School of Art Aberdeen, class of '87. He has worked professionally for many years in Theatre and Community Art, as a college lecturer he specialised in stage set design and set construction. As a professional artist Paul has worked as a sand sculptor, and instillation artist. He has exhibited in Glasgow on a regular basis, as well as internationally including Spain, Germany, Denmark and Canada. Paul is essentially an abstract artist, the constant theme in his work is the exploration of rhythm and pattern, that examines structure in a playful repetition.
